Seattle Party Big Success
|
|
Great weather, great food, great fun. That pretty much sums up the Bauer weekend
hosted in Seattle by John Bauer. The weather really cooperated as temperatures
hovered somewhere in the 90's.
The weekend was kicked off with dinner, and a Mariners game Friday night at Safeco field.
The highlight of the ball game was a Grand Slam hit by Edgar Martinez!
Even though the Mariners lost, it was an exciting game.
Ellen and Roy supplied a wonderful waffle breakfast on
Saturday morning, followed by Mark and Mary's BBQ vegi sandwiches for lunch.
The fabulous "Gipsy Kings" entertained the group Saturday night at a local winery.
The Gipsy Kings are a French group that have dominated the world music charts for years.
They crank out a decidedly Latin beat and are described on their web site
(www.gipsykings.com)
as a exotic music hybrid. Many people danced including Fran, Lori, Katie and Mary. See the
photos in the picture galleries below. Many thanks to John Bauer for coordinating a
very memorable weekend.
